AGRITOURISM EXPERIENCES
Located 18 km from Nafplio, 20 km from Mycenae and 136 km from Athens, Sofia holds a rare and precious heritage in her hands.
She continues, with love and the same respect, the traditional rearing of goats, a practice passed down from her grandparents, of the local Argolis mountain breed, with a history stretching back 100 years!! As a member of the last family to preserve the tradition of transhumance every six months, she offers an authentic experience that bridges the past and the present.
She is a graduate of the Department of Animal Production and a Certified Cheese Maker, and possesses the necessary expertise to guide visitors through every stage of the experience.
There’s something magical about holding something in your hands that you’ve made from scratch. At Sofia’s goat farm, you’ll learn the art of cheese-making using fresh milk from our goats, and you’ll leave filled with the scents of the mountains and the spirit of a tradition that has been passed down through the generations.
Some recipes are never lost — they’re simply passed down from generation to generation. In this cookery class, you’ll discover the flavours that sustained the farming families of Argos, making goga and tyropitari with your own hands, dishes with Arvanitic roots — just as our grandmothers used to make them.
Few things in nature are as fascinating as the world of the bee. During this experience, you’ll watch the honey and beeswax being harvested, learn the secrets of beekeeping and discover the beneficial properties of pure honey — for both health and beauty.
Olive oil is not just an ingredient — it is at the heart of Greek tradition. At our family-run olive grove, you’ll get to know the local extra virgin olive oil up close, learn how to distinguish between different varieties and store it properly — and you’ll enjoy it with fresh bread from our wood-fired oven, vegetables from the garden and farm-fresh cheese.
